Madrid – 4 delicious places

As promised I am coming with some Madrid foodie recommendations 🙂 During the longer weekend in Madrid we have visited 3 amazing places, actually 4 – how could I forget one typical Churros place in the heart of Madrid. Each of them was very different, but delicious in its own way.

Amazonico

When you are in Madrid and you are in search for a unique experience – this is a place to go! Once you stepped in, you feel like in another world. Everything is green, colorful and while enjoying your meal, you can hear to the sound of birds and waterfalls in behind. Before you get seated you can enjoy one of their amazing coctails in the bar. The food was very good, actually better than we expected. This place looks really fancy! After diner you can go down to their own club and dance a bit 🙂

Overall amazing experience!

Rubaiyat Madrid

Next day we went for lunch to this meat place. The restaurant is famous because even spanish king used to go there. The meat was pretty good and they have also some good deserts.

This place is a little bit far from the centre and maybe we were expecting a little more. But overall delicious food!

Opazo restaurant

Delicious place with great variety of fishes. This restaurant was opened in 1969 and back in time was rewarded with a Michelin Red Guide star in it first edition to Spain.

The fishes were very fresh and and delicious. I also particularly liked the design of the place, it is an elegant and darker place, perfect for a romantic dinner. We really recommend this restaurant in Madrid.

Chocolatería San Ginés

This chocolatería was opened in 1894 and is very famous for its hot chocolate with churros. Although I went there during the afternoon, it is supposed to be opened 24 hours. They have many places to sit, outside and inside and the stuff is very friendly. Churros with hot chocolate is really delicious! It is located very centrally and not far from Mercado de San Miguel that is also a very good food place but unfortunately we haven’t managed to have some food there as it was really crowded on Sunday when we arrived.

In Madrid we stayed in a great hotel called Gran Meliá Fénix where we had delicious breakfast and needed rest.

We have also visited Royal Palace of Madrid and Lion King show – both were great experience.
